Don’t Feed The Locals

From 60,00

Don’t Feed the Locals is a detailed and humorous illustration by Split-based artist Goran Radošević, offering a satirical take on the bustling reality of Split’s Old Town – Diocletian’s Palace. With a vibrant, caricature-style approach, the artwork cleverly highlights the contrast between local life and mass tourism. From a giant octopus served on a plate to the iconic Peristil sphinx repurposed as a restaurant host, Radošević transforms familiar landmarks into a playful yet pointed commentary on the commercialization of heritage, overcrowded public spaces, and the everyday resilience of locals.

This limited edition print is part of the series Mediterranean 2035 – Through the Eyes of Creatives / The Next Chapter, where contemporary illustrators explore the evolving identity of the Mediterranean through wit, irony, and visual storytelling.
